From the pecha kucha and talks with George we knew we wanted the piece to be abstract and functional. I continued to look at structures of ships in order to create impactful metal pieces that would structure to space. I was looking at canopy type pieces to come from the balcony made from metal type girders but I felt it was too fussy for the space and that maybe the panels that would move around the bottom needed to be more connected to the balcony.

I liked the functionality of this model sketch those lower sections could turn to create new spaces, in my later models I struggled to find something I was this happy with. In a quest for functionality and changeable pieces I looked into the structure of ships on blue prints.

I was attempting to get more structure George liked the simplicity of three metal sheets however I knew we would need more for the set to be dynamic.
